Chicago: Field Museum

September, 2015: This was one of the BEST impulse plane ticket buys ever. My husband got tickets for us for less than $300 total, round trip. Fortunately, my aunt, owns a condo in downtown Chicago so that in itself saved us hundreds of dollars. They were also, in very true Filipino fashion, extremely hospitable, from airport pick ups and drop offs as well as gatherings, they were there for us.

This trip was the first trip Ron and I did not let our laziness get in the way. We were able to meet up with family right when we landed and explore the Navy Pier during the late afternoon.

These pictures are from our first day and the first place we visited--the Field Museum where we saw Sue the dinosaur and a lot of things about this beautiful planet we live in. The third picture was taken while we were munching on our (ketchupless) Chicago dogs, staring at Chicago's beautiful skyline.

We'll be back, Chicago. You beautiful city, you!

Palawan: CYC Beach

January, 2016: Nothing but tremendous beauty in and around this island.

CYC Beach was the second and third stop during our island hopping trip in Coron. Second was this island and third is the reef which we did not visit because sitting on a rock at the beach sounded much better than maneuvering our way back to the boat and jumping into the water. Don't laugh but my point is: snorkeling gets exhausting. LOL

We had turon during this break which was perfect because we were all feeling a little hungry as it was about lunch time.

The kid in the picture is Betty of WhereNextDaddy. They're a family from the UK, traveling the world...they made me want to have a kid, quit my job and just travel with Ron.

The wanderlust is real this week, by the way.

Cebu: Nalusuan

January, 2016: The view was breathtaking. We caught a glimpse of the sandbar but we were not quick enough to get into the water and walk to and on it while it was still above or I guess higher than the water. We enjoyed the experience nonetheless. A whole lot of laughs and a little drop of tear after losing a smartphone later, we walked back to the mini port to snorkel and swim with little sea creatures for a little bit then off we went to the mainland.
